We would eventually go towards the rule just being taken for face value and people will just start saying that stuff all the time. If we just allow slip ups to happen, as mentioned, we would get a situation where people would just get away of such comments and slurs all the time. Many of the people in the server go through the game without saying a word cuz they know the rules.ģ. I just think just the argument of "it was just a slip up" isn't a good one. Quickly realized that stuff wasn't allowed, didn't do it anymore and I haven't slipped up since. Hell, when I first joined the server I kinda didn't have a filter and said dumb shit.
While I can understand not having a filter when on a game, it usually isn't hard to apply one when on a game like this server. Honestly, if someone keeps slipping up and saying slurs or whatever, then they need to simmer down on the stuff and need to chill out. Hell, if someone wanted to, they can just say "it was a joke man I wasn't serious" when he says the n word repeatedly and literally get away with it. Yeah, people slip it up, but again, it is almost impossible to tell if someone is genuinely being racist or just joking. This can go deeper, but I just think the stuff isn't really needed. While I am sure anyone saying this stuff aren't actually racist irl, its hard to distinguish between actual racism and *joke* racism online, specifically in games. You couldn't go 3 minutes without him saying something racist. Like I was in a discord call of another game recently and a guy in chat kept saying racist stuff the entire call, and it quickly got annoying and actually concerning. While often times this is done as a joke or whatever, not many people realize that repeating the joke over and over again just either gets stale or not funny. Many of the servers allow racism or homophobic remarks in general.
